I am a Linehan trained Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) therapist . My priority is in providing the utmost quality of care by closely following evidence-based practices within the standard DBT protocol and consultation with other trained DBT professionals.
DBT has demonstrated efficacious treatment of a wide variety of mental health conditions including; self-harm, suicidal behaviors, Borderline personality disorder, and substance abuse. Skills-based interventions and behavioral strategies have also shown efficacy for problems such as anxiety, depression and binge-eating disorder.
I also specialize in the treatment of eating disorders with adult and adolescent populations drawing from experience working in acute levels of care. I utilize evidence-based principles in the treatment of adolescent eating disorders with Family Based/Maudsley Treatment (FBT) and DBT/CBT with adults.
I am originally from New York and received my Bachelor's Degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and my Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling at Yeshiva University's Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology. I have worked as a clinician at Walden Behavioral Care in multiple acute levels of care with both adult and adolescent with eating disorders. At Walden I provided individual, family and group psychotherapy and received training in Family Based Treatment for adolescents with eating disorders and DBT skills training. After several years at Walden I transitioned to working in a community outpatient agency in Connecticut providing psychotherapy for children and young adults. With a desire to further specialize in DBT and eating disorders I opened my private practice in 2016 in South Windsor, CT.
